‘It is heartbreaking’: OSDE, state lawmakers looking into OK child seen outside in PJs in cold

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) announced on Friday an investigation is underway for a teacher who serves as a foster parent to the viral video of a foster child left unattended in bitter temperatures.

It’s the latest step in addressing allegations tied to the video itself with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Muskogee County District Attorney’s Office, Haskell Police Department, and Preston Public Schools also looking into the incident.

No criminal charges have been filed to date, but News 4 confirmed with the Preston Public School district Friday that one of the child’s foster parents is an employee there.
