James D. Sicking, Jr.

Now in his third decade as an attorney, James D. Sicking, Jr., has had an incredibly diverse career: as a public defender, as in-house counsel for an oil and gas company, and now as a partner with Smolen Law. In each of these roles, he has been a strong proponent for the rights of “the little guys,” or those who face long odds in receiving justice against a daunting opponent. No “little guy” is too little, and no opponent is too large—including the federal government, which James fought in a landmark mineral-rights case on behalf of a client, and won. The bottom line: When James agrees to take your case, he is fully invested in fighting for you and your family.
